Discover Millie’s House Putney

Nov 7, 2025 | News

Welcome to Millie’s House at Boatman’s Court, Putney, a beautiful purpose-build nursery designed with children’s curiosity, wellbeing and development at its heart. Open since January 2025, our setting can welcome up to 74 children across four bespoke rooms: Discoverers, Explorers, Inventors and Little Einsteins. Each space is carefully tailored to children’s ages, interests and individual needs, creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Our bright, modern nursery has been thoughtfully designed to support exploration and comfort, with underfloor heating, sensor lighting and naturally lit rooms filled with open-ended resources. Outdoors, children enjoy a unique two-storey garden that encourages imagination, physical development and a love of nature. From mud kitchens and wooden stepping stones to water play and a flourishing herb garden, every corner inspires curiosity and discovery.

At Millie’s House Putney, children’s voices are at the centre of everything we do. Our child-led approach, guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, ensures every child is listened to and involved in their own learning. Drawing inspiration from Montessori and Froebel, we champion independence, creativity and outdoor exploration as part of daily life.

Our bespoke curriculum, Millie’s Map to Meaning, nurtures children to become Confident Communicators, Resilient Researchers, Curious and Creative Thinkers, Happy and Healthy Individuals and to feel Safe and Secure. Through play, discovery and meaningful experiences, we help children build the essential foundations for lifelong learning.

Children also enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular activities, from baking, yoga and Sign and Sing to Boogie Mites and gardening. We are proud to take part in Eco-Schools and the RHS Gardening Awards and are working towards becoming both a Makaton Friendly and UNICEF Baby Friendly setting.

Leading our Putney nursery is Nursery Manager Kerrie Elliot, who brings years of experience, warmth and dedication to her role, supported by Deputy Manager Reece Gumble, whose background across education and childcare adds creativity and a strong focus on wellbeing. Together, Kerrie, Reece and their passionate team create an inspiring environment where every child feels safe, valued and excited to learn.
