Nursery Bag Checklist
Congratulations on reaching this exciting milestone. Starting nursery is such a special step in your child’s early journey, and we know it can feel like a big change for parents too.
To help make the transition as smooth as possible, we’ve put together this simple nursery bag checklist so you can feel confident your child has everything they need for a happy and comfortable day.
💡Top Tip: During your initial tour, ask the Nursery Manager if there are any specific items your nursery prefers or provides.
What to pack in your child’s nursery bag
- Spare clothing – We encourage children to wear comfortable clothes that allow them to move freely and join in with a variety of activities, some of which may get a little messy. Please pack a few spare sets of clothes, including socks and underwear, so we can keep your child comfortable throughout the day.
- Nursery bag – A labelled nursery bag with all your child’s essentials helps our team keep things organised. We recommend packing spare clothes, any comforters, and outdoor wear such as a wetsuit and welly boots.
- Outdoor waterproof clothing – Outdoor play happens in all kinds of weather. Please include a waterproof jacket, trousers and boots. In colder months, a warm snowsuit is also ideal for keeping your child cosy while they explore outside.
- Comforters – If your child uses a comforter to help them settle or rest at nap time, please include it in their bag so we can offer that familiar reassurance.
- Formula – For babies who have formula bottles during the day, please provide a tub of your chosen formula. We will store it safely in their individual labelled box.
- Nappies – Nappies are one of the few items we ask parents to provide. Please bring a bag of nappies on your child’s first day. We will store them in their personal cubby in the changing area.
