Woodlands Avenue, New Malden

Our Millie's House Nursery & Pre-School at Woodlands Avenue is a 70 place day nursery for 3 month to 5 year olds. The nursery is spread across three floors with a separate pre-school classroom based in our lovely and secure walled garden.

You will find this nursery right in the heart of the community in New Malden. We are situated on the corner of a quiet residential road, there are excellent parking facilities, local bus routes just a stone's throw away and it is also equidistant to Norbiton and New Malden train stations.


Our Management Team

Caroline Laidlaw, Manager

Caroline is a highly experienced and successful childcare professional in a career starting in 1999. She has qualifications including a degree in early years management and leadership, and holds early years professional status.

Her experience includes managing the success of other nurseries within the Childcare and Learning Group family, ensuring an OFSTED Good or Outstanding rating for each, before moving to our New Malden nursery in 2017. Caroline loves managing and leading teams, developing staff skills and creating beautiful quality learning environments for children. Her goal at Woodlands Avenue is to make this the best nursery experience for children and parents in the area.

Margaret Akeredolu, Deputy Manager

Margaret is an experienced childcare professional with a degree in child development. She started working in childcare in 2011 and has been a deputy manager with us since 2015.

Margaret works hard to create strong bonds with children and their parents and to develop the quality of childcare provided by overseeing activities, mentoring and training her team. Margaret shares Caroline’s goal of creating the best nursery experience for the children.

Carlene Facey, Regional Manager

Carlene is a passionate early years advocate with childcare experience starting in 2003. She holds a masters degree in early education and an early years teacher status. She comes with a wealth of experience in supporting parents and carers through workshops as well as nurseries with compliance and helping them to maintain high quality care and education.

In the most recent years she has worked across several nurseries as an operations manager, inspector and independent consultant. Carlene hopes to achieve a doctorate in educational psychology in the near future.

Natalie Chrystie, Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager for Childcare And Learning Group, Natalie has responsibility for supporting and developing the nurseries and pre-schools within the group, including Millie's House in Woodlands Avenue.

Natalie is a qualified childcare specialist with over 40 years experience working in the childcare industry including many years running individual nurseries for the group. Leading a senior team of three regional managers and a special projects manager, she ensures that nurseries have the facilities, support and training required to meet the group’s own high standards for best practice in childcare.
